Royal Canadian Mounted Police Long Service Medal, E.II.R., 2nd issue (J. E. J. C. Lepine) extremely fine £260-£300

Joseph Esdras Jean Charles Lepine was born at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on 7 November 1914, and joined the R.C.M.P. at Montreal on 18 November 1940. Upon completion of training at “N” Division, Lepine was posted to “C” Division, Quebec, at Coaticook, Amos, Sutton, Hemmingford, Huntingdon and Bedford. He was promoted to Corporal in January 1951, to Sergeant in November 1958, and retired on 3 December 1961. Sergeant Lepine died at Saint-Lambert, Quebec, on 18 October 1996, aged 81.
