The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) Officer’s Shako 1891-1939, an extremely fine quality example of standard format based on the 1869 pattern, dark green cloth body with black thistle pattern braid lace, sewn in cap lines, flounders and festoons, blackened metal thistle pattern side supports, black corded frontal boss bearing a blackened silver mullet, blackened silver strung bugle horn below, black patent leather bound front peak; sweat band of white leather and white braid lining, black patent leather chin strap, retailed by ‘Wm. Anderson & Sons 11 George Street Edinburgh’, together with the original black cord cap/body lines and the black metal japanned carrying tin, this also with Wm. Andersons brass plaque.
