Fife Militia Artillery Officer’s Busby Grenade c1855-1878, a superb example in silver plate, the fused grenade with mounts on the ball comprising a crowned circle, ‘Virtute Et Opera’, in the centre the Thane of Fife, attendant thistle sprays around the circle and a scroll below, ‘Fifeshire Artillery’, at the base of the ball a double wheeled cannon, complete with white horse hair plume, single screw post and clip fasteners, very fine condition £400-£500
