12th (West Suffolk) Regiment Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c1843-1855. Rectangular gilt back plate with an ornate silver overlay, incorporating crowned laurels, battle honours, central strap, ‘Montis Insignia Calpe’, in the centre the Castle & key for Gibraltar over ‘XII’, this now on a ground of blue enamel (unofficial) (KK140), standard hook & stud fasteners, no gilt remains on the back plate, otherwise good condition £400-£500
