The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate 1881-1901. A fine quality example, the rectangular gilt back plate with a burnished rim and engine turned ground overlaid with a silver saltire this in turn overlaid with a gilt metal crowned oval, ‘The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders’, in the centre St. Edward’s crown over a thistle spray, at the bottom in silver the Sphinx/Egypt. Complete with the usual hook and stud fasteners, the central mount is now retained by two small screw thread posts, otherwise good overall condition £140-£180
