Of heavy gauge mid-tan leather, all corners bound with brass (55 x 26 x 18cm), large brass lock plate to the front stamped ‘Secure Level Hodges Maker’, original stout leather carrying handle and two full length securing straps, the line black stamped, ‘Stewart Balmain XV The King’s Hussars’. Internally seven wooded compartments for the variable shot size cartridges, all with full leather belt securing straps, the inner top lined in blue baize and bearing Lancaster’s large trade label, some inevitable scuffing to the outer top otherwise in very good condition. £80-£120
