Thomas P. Drake was a native of Walthamstow, London. He served with the 1st Battalion, The King’s Own (Royal Lancaster) Regiment in India, and was employed with other members of the Battalion as Civil Police on Railway duty during the Delhi Durbar of 1911.
Drake served during the Great War with the Battalion in the French theatre of war from 15 January 1915.
