The Reverend Robert Horne Stevenson was appointed Church of Scotland Chaplain in the Madras Ecclesiastical Establishment in 1889, and served with the King’s Own Scottish Borderers as part of the Mohmand Field Force during operations on the Punjab Frontier 1897-98.
