Robert George Leader was born at Maidenhead, Berkshire, and enlisted underage on 8 November 1915. He served with 3rd R.M. Battalion from 1 November 1916 to 20 January 1919, as part of 3 Royal Marine Brigade in the Royal Naval Division. He served with 11/R.M. Battalion from 20 September 1922 to 7 September 1923, and served near Constantinople during the period of hostility between Greece and Turkey. He was discharged on 4 October 1928, enrolled into the R.F.R. the following day and received the R.F.R. medal in 1932. Sold with copied record of service and medal roll entries.
