Sydney Arthur Huke was the son of Thomas and Alice Huke, and the husband of Jessie Huke, of Forest Gate. He served with 503 Battery, 79th Searchlight Regiment, Royal Artillery during the Second War. The latter served as part of the 38th Anti-Aircraft Brigade stationed in London from October 1940.
Lance-Bombardier Huke was killed/died, 23 September 1944, and is buried in the East London Cemetery, Plaistow.
