Royal Humane Society, large bronze medal (successful) (Sub C. E. J. Brennan 16 July 1865) silvered and mounted as worn from a ‘New Zealand 1845-66’ style suspension bar, with top silver riband buckle, silver plating rubbed on high relief points, edge nicks, very fine £200-£240
E. S. Brennan, a Sub-Constable in the Irish Constabulary, was awarded the Royal Humane Society Bronze Medal for a rescue in the River Stanley, Wexford, on 16th July 1865 (R.H.S. case no. 17,553).
