33rd (1st Yorkshire, West Riding) Regiment Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c1830-1855, a very fine example, the rectangular gilt back plate with a burnished inner edge and an engine turned ground. Silver mounts comprise a crowned strap, ‘1st Yorkshire West Riding Regiment’, the strap depends into two scrolls, ‘Seringapatam’ and ‘Waterloo’. In the centre of the strap laurel sprays enclose ‘33’, standard hook and stud fasteners, very fine condition £500-£700
