An 1822 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword by Hobson & Son, London, the 82 cm blade with single fuller etched with panels of scrolling foliage, pierced gilt brass hand guard incorporating the crowned VR cypher, wire bound fish skin grip, remains of an incorrect sword knot, now contained in a Royal Naval Officer’s gild mounted black leather scabbard, most of the etching on the blade has been worn away, the scabbard chapes devoid of gilt and the bottom chape heavily dented, therefore fair condition £60-£100
