Thomas Hart Partington was born in Deane, Bolton, Lancashire, in 1897, and attested there for the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He served with the 1st/5th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 12 February 1915, and was killed in action at Pilkem Ridge during the 3rd Battle of Ypres on 1 August 1917. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
William Walker, a native of Manchester, attested for the East Lancashire Regiment, and served with the 1st/5th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front. He was killed in action on 30 August 1918. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial, France.
