John Mannion was born at Kilbride, County Roscommon, Ireland, in 1875, and joined the Dublin Metropolitan Police on 19 July 1895, being posted to ‘E’ District. He was promoted Sergeant on 18 April 1913, and was posted to ‘F’ District on 2 May of that year. He retired to pension on 21 July 1920, and died in 1958.
