Leonard Charles Foster was born in Dulwich, London, and having emigrated to Canada attested for the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. He served with them during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 30 June 1916. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
William James Sharpe attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force, and served with the 16th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) during the Great War on the Western Front. He was killed in action on 25 September 1916. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial, France.
