An extremely rare Waterloo Medal to Private Edward Bent, 33rd Foot, who died of wounds received in the Battle
Waterloo 1815 (Edward Bent, 33rd Regiment Foot) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, some marks to the reverse rim, otherwise nearly extremely fine and a very rare casualty £1200-1500
Private Edward Bent died of wounds received at the battle of Waterloo. Medals to officers and, more especially, to other ranks who were killed or died of wounds at Waterloo are extremely rare. They were not issued to next of kin as a matter of procedure and it seems that they were rarely claimed.
