An 18th century silver and tortoiseshell cased pocket watch, by Peter Wise, London, the dial with black Roman numerals, to black outer minute divisions in outer Arabic numerals 1-60, with steel beetle and poker hands, the verge movement signed ‘Peter Wise, London’, and numbered ‘450’, with pierced and engraved balance cock, the fusee verge movement with flared pillars, the outer case of tortoiseshell with pique stud detail, the reverse with swivel cover to the winding hole (some damage to the tortoiseshell), diameter 55mm. £200-£300
