Cleventor Leonard Pilditch resided at 112 Aubrey Road, Small Heather, Birmingham. He served during the Great War with the 16th (Service) Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment (3rd Birmingham) in the French theatre of war from 21 November 1915. The Battalion served as part of the 15th Brigade, 5th Division on the Somme, July - September 1916. Pilditch was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in June 1918.
