A.S.C.) suspension slack; King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (11666 Dvr: G. Keen. A.S.C.); 1914-15 Star (1222 Pte G Keen. 2 A.R.U. A.I.F.); British War and Victory Medals (1222 Pte. G. Keen 2 A.R.U. A.I.F.) mounted for display, contact marks, therefore nearly very fine or better (5) £240-£280

George Keen was born in Bledlow Ridge, High Wycombe, and attested for the Army Service Corps at Aldershot in May 1894. He served with the Corps in South Africa, October 1899 - September 1902, and was discharged, 30 May 1906, having served for 12 years.

Keen re-engaged for service with the Australian Imperial Force during the Great War, 24 September 1915, and was posted to the 2nd Australian Remount Unit.
