Isaac Jackson was born in Easton, Northamptonshire, on 1 April 1796 and attested for the Royal Artillery at Stamford, Lincolnshire on 1 April 1813, aged 17. He served as a Driver with the Royal Artillery, and was discharged on 7 April 1835, after 23 years and 7 days’ service.
