The Middlesex Regiment, 2nd Volunteer Battalion Officer’s Helmet Plate c1887-1901, a very fine example, the silver plated crowned star back plate with similar laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre in gilt metal on a ground of black velvet the prince of Wales’s Badge & Motto, laurels and the cypher of HRH the Duke of Cambridge, a double gilt scroll below, ‘The Middlesex Regt.’ & ‘2nd Volunteer Battalion’, three loop fasteners, very good condition £300-£400
