An Imperial German Mitre Cap. A nice and complete example of a mitre cap belonging to an enlisted man in the 1st Guard Regiment of Foot, the 3rd or Fusilier Battalion. Large decorated front plate with Pro Gloria et Patria scrollwork. The cloth bag behind the plate is free of moth, slight colour loss to the yellow bag through light. Complete with its yellow and white faded pompom and all complete with its correct white metal chin scales. To the interior all the lining is complete with its original drawstring, very good condition £1,200-£1,600
