60th Bengal Native Infantry Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c1843-1857. A superb example the rectangular copper gilt back plate with silver overlays, crowned laurels enclose a strap ‘Bhurtpore’ in the centre on a domed gilt ground floreated numerals ‘60’. At the bottom across the extended laurel branches, swags and a double scroll ‘Caubul’ ‘1842’. Two hook and two stud fasteners, complete with original leather liner, very fine £800-£1,200
