Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (156 Pte. T. Youde. Hampshire Regt.) with lid of named card box of issue, in other envelope addressed to ‘Mrs. B. Youde’, extremely fine £160-£200

T. Youde attested for the Hampshire Regiment, and served with the 2nd Battalion in South Africa during the Boer War. He was killed in a railway accident at Barberton, Transvaal, on 30 March 1902, in which approximately 40 men from the Regiment were killed. He is buried in Barberton Town Cemetery.
