Natal 1906, no clasp (Tpr: E. Pitman, Natal Police.) edge bruising and contact marks, nearly very fine £60-£80
The spark that set off the Natal Rebellion was the murder of two Natal Policemen near Richmond on 8 February 1906. The Natal Police fielded the largest uniformed force of over 1100 men during the conflict, which was a far cry from the approximately 300 men in the Natal Police in 1899. Six policemen were killed in action during this conflict and two were awarded the D.C.M.
