Unit unknown but a medal to this recipient is confirmed on page 28 of Forsyth’s Roll among Colonial Units.

Research with the lot assumes the recipient is Colonel Colin Charles Campbell, D.S.O., 31st Madras Native Infantry and Madras Staff Corps, who was a Captain from 1872 to 1880, but no evidence has been found that this man served in the Zulu War.
