Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1902 (566 Tpr. W. Angus. Pietersburg L.H.) edge bruising, nearly very fine, rare to unit £200-£240

William Angus attested for the Pietersburg Light Horse at Green Point, Cape Colony, on 7 March 1902, and was discharged on 7 July 1902.

The Pietersburg Light Horse was previously known at the Bushveldt Carbineers (of “Breaker” Morant fame), and was re-designated the Pietersburg Light Horse on 1 December 1901. It was disbanded on 30 June 1902.

Approximately 57 medals were issued named to either the Bushveldt Carbineers or the Pietersburg Light Horse.
