Albert Robert Lusher was born in Woolwich, London. He attested for the Royal Field Artillery and served with 8th Brigade on the Western Front from 19 August 1914. He later transferred to ‘B’ Battery, 80th Brigade Royal Field Artillery and was killed in action on 17 July 1916. He is buried in Carnoy Military Cemetery, France.

Arthur Gillmore White was a native of Southsea, Portsmouth. He served with the Royal Engineers Inland Water Transport during the Great War in the Mesopotamian theatre from 3 May 1917, and died aboard the hospital ship H.M.H.S. Varela on 15 July 1917. Buried at sea, he is commemorated on the Basra Memorial, Iraq.
