Charles McCulloch Torrance was born on 27 November 1939 and enlisted in the Royal Marines in 1958. His rare combination of clasps, all of which are confirmed on the available rolls, possibly indicates that he served originally with 45 Commando and later 42 Commando. He died in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 2001.
