Clifton Mallet Lucas originally attested for the Canadian Infantry Brigade, from which he was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the South Wales Borderers. He served with the 4th Battalion during the Great War in both the Gallipoli theatre of War, and then on the Western Front , and was killed in action on 10 July 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
