Patrick John Howard was born in Kanturk, Cork, Ireland in July 1923. He served during the Second War as a Radio Operator with the Merchant Navy (sold with a copy of the M.N. Medal roll confirming Second War entitlement). Howard transferred to the Royal Air Force in August 1946, and was serving at R.A.F. Compton Bassett (training centre for wireless, telegraphist and cypher mechanic personnel) at the time of the 1953 Coronation.
Howard was discharged, 20 August 1971, and died in Basingstoke, Hampshire in 1988.
