McCook.); together with the recipient’s Corporation of Glasgow Great War Special Constable Badge, silver, the reverse named ‘William J. Mc.Cook’, with 4 Years suspension bar, and a Corporation of Glasgow Special Constable 1914 lapel badge, gilt and enamel; British Red Cross Society Medal for War Service 1914-18, in card box of issue; and a British Red Cross Society Cross for Proficiency in Red Cross First Aid, 1 clasp, Red Cross First Aid 1918, the reverse inscribed ‘9600 J. Frederick Hall Gordon, of Dunedin, Otago, served with the 26th Battalion, New Zealand Infantry during the Second World War, and died on 26 April 1943. He is buried in Enfidaville War Cemetery, Tunisia.
