William Henry Ford was born in Magor, Wales. He attested for the Grenadier Guards and served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 16 March 1915. He was killed in action on 15 May 1915 during the battalion’s operations in the trenches north of Festubert. He has no known grave and is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, France.
