George Robert Beart attested for the Norfolk Regiment and was serving with the 2nd Battalion in India on the outbreak of the Great War. He served with the 2nd Battalion in the Asiatic theatre of War from 15 November 1914 with the Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force, and was discharged on 14 March 1919.
