A French 1871 Dragoon Officer’s Helmet in its Original Case. A most magnificent example of a French Dragoon officers helmet. Bright undamaged skull with all gilded fittings bright, with its full length horsehair plume. Untouched internal lining with its short red feather plume, the base of the plume known as the olive, which is situated in its own original cardboard container. All fitted into its own fitted case, which is suede lined to the interior. The exterior imitation leather covering missing in places, complete with its carrying handle, good condition £1,800-£2,200
