Charles I (1625-1649), York mint, Halfcrown, Gp 1 [type 3], mm. lion, no ground line below horse, oval garnished shield, 13.81g/12h (Bull 554; Besly 1E; SCBI Brooker 1079; N 2311; S 2865). Short of flan at 6 o’clock, otherwise nearly extremely fine and toned, very rare £1,500-£2,000
