Portobello Medals with Vernon’s portrait alone, Capture of Portobello, 1739, a pinchbeck medal, unsigned, three-quarter length figure of Vernon left, rev. six ships entering Portobello harbour, 37mm (Adams PBv 45-VV; Betts 199; MI –). Minor verdigris on obverse, otherwise very fine, scarce £80-£100
