Portobello Medals with Vernon’s portrait and icons, Capture of Portobello, 1739, a medal in uncertain alloy by J. Roche, Vernon standing right, ship to left and cannon to right, rev. six ships outside Portobello harbour, 39mm (Adams PBvi 11-N; Betts –; MI –). Minor surface corrosion, otherwise good very fine, very rare £300-£400
