George Nockles was born in Hackney, London, and attested for the Royal Fusiliers at Dalston, London. He served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War in the Gallipoli theatre of War from 25 April 1915, and was killed in action on 5 June 1915. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.

James Nockles was born in Hackney, London, and attested for the Scots Guards at Finsbury, London. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 30 January 1918. He is buried in Fampoux British Cemetery, France.
