Kirwin Parsons was born in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, on 13 February 1888, and having emigrated to Canada attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Winnipeg, Manitobia, on 10 April 1916. He served with the 28th Battalion, Canadian Infantry during the Great War on the Western Front from 30 November 1917, and transferred to the 29th (British Columbia) Battalion on 27 April 1918. He died in Vancouver, British Columbia, on 19 August 1966.
