Cnut (1016-1035), Penny, Canterbury, Eadred, eadred on cæt, obv. reads cnvt rex anglo, legend starting at 12h and drapery radiating from brooch, 0.86g/12h (Blackburn & Lyon, London B; BEH –; N 781; S 1157). Very fine and of the highest rarity, the moneyer apparently previously unknown for Canterbury in the Anglo-Saxon period (£200-250)
