13th Madras Native Infantry, a very fine set of nine officer’s coatee buttons c1820-1855, in gilt near flat but with closed backs, back mark ‘GG&Co.’, finely raised designs the crown over laurel sprays enclosong ‘XIII’, at the base a scroll ‘Seringapatam’, slight surface grime but the gilt excellent (9) £80-100

The Seringapatam honour was awarded in 1820 some 21 years after the battle.
