In 1983 the Miami jewellery firm Sazingg was formed by the self trained jeweller Irene Zingg. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Zingg was greatly influenced by her natural surroundings: "I feel very privileged to have been born in a country with such extreme beauty as Venezuela. As an artist, it is impossible to grow up surrounded by such beautiful fauna and flora and not be inspired to create." Using 18ct gold and silver, she uses precious and semi-precious stones to create jewels that are creations are “a unique and contemporary interpretation of classical design”.
