Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Halfcrown, Gp III, type 3a, mm. bell, early third horseman, oval garnished shield, reads carolv.s, 14.90g/2h (Bull 226d/38, this coin; cf. SCBI Brooker 320; N 2209; 2773). Weak in places, die flaw on horse’s near foreleg, otherwise nearly very fine and dark- toned; an interesting error £150-£180
