R.E.) clasps mounted in this order, with unofficial retaining rods; U.N. Korea 1950-54, unnamed as issued; Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., 2nd issue, Territorial, with Second Award Bar (Lt. G. Prain. Gilbert Prain was commissioned, from Cadet, as a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers, in January 1945. He advanced to Lieutenant in February 1950, and was awarded the Efficiency Medal in May 1947, and the Second Award Bar in July 1950. Prain advanced to Captain in April 1952, and relinquished commission in September 1963.
