Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Shilling, Gp E, type 4.1, mm. tun, larger bust, single-arched crown, reads caarolvs, mixed stops on obv., pellet stops on rev., 5.69g/2h (Sharp F2/1; SCBI Brooker –; N 2227; S 2795). Weak on crown (and corresponding on reverse), otherwise very fine £120-£150
