James Everard Denton Roberts was born in Mirfield, Yorkshire, on 10 June 1926, and was commissioned Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force on 26 November 1950, being promoted Flight Lieutenant on 26 November 1954. He served with the Royal Air Force in Kenya, and was dismissed the service by sentence of Court Martial on 24 August 1964. He died in Gloucester in 2004.
