Provenance: Acquired by the vendor directly from the recipient’s family.
Llewelleyn Jones was born in Llanbyther, Carmarthenshire, and attested for the Pembroke Yeomanry at Carmarthern. He served with the 2nd Battalion, South Wales Borderers during the Great War on the Western Front from 1916, and was killed in action on the Somme on 21 October 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
