Hong Kong Plague 1894 (Sergeant N. Gillies.) officially impressed naming, minor edge bruising, very fine £1,800-£2,200

Neil Gillies was born on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, and was serving as a Sergeant with the Hong Kong Police at the time of the plague. Advanced Inspector in 1899, he died in the Colony, and is buried in Happy Valley Cemetery.
